Four rules for booking tours in Manila
Manila's tour market is fragmented across four platforms with the same operators on all of them. That is an advantage if you spend twenty seconds on it.
Compare two platforms. Bambike is $25 on GetYourGuide and $39 on TripAdvisor for what is substantially the same product. Klook prices in pesos and is GCash-native, which sometimes makes it the cheapest of all.
Read the itinerary, not the title. Several “Makati nightlife” crawls include the P. Burgos go-go strip, which is not what most travellers are expecting. Several “Corregidor from Manila” tours are land transfers to Bataan with a short boat at the end.
Check what the gate costs first. Fort Santiago is ₱75 and never sells out. Nothing in Intramuros needs a tour for access — you are paying for guiding, transport or hours, and that is a perfectly good reason.
Beware the cheapest tier on day trips. The pattern is consistent: budget Tagaytay tours at around ₱1,050 rate 3.9★ while the ₱1,800–2,800 tier rates 4.6–4.9★. On a fourteen-hour day, the saving is not worth it.
